Clay Hamblen
Executive Director
Clay Hamblen serves as Executive Director of Carrier Claims Alliance, where he leads the development of proactive claims strategies designed to improve communication, encourage earlier engagement, and create more effective paths toward resolution.
With more than 15 years of experience across trucking operations, recruiting, safety, risk management, and claims administration, Clay brings a broad understanding of the challenges transportation companies face before, during, and after an incident. His work focuses on helping carriers strengthen their internal processes, communicate more clearly with potential claimants, and respond with greater consistency and transparency.
Before joining Carrier Claims Alliance, Clay held leadership roles within the trucking industry, where he helped develop operational and claims-management practices centered on immediate action, direct communication, and practical problem-solving. That experience continues to shape his approach to helping carriers manage risk while supporting fair and timely outcomes.
Clay is also a strong advocate for safety-first carrier cultures. He believes effective claims management begins long before an incident occurs through investments in compliance, member driver training, coaching, accountability, and preventative safety initiatives.
Jon Dittmer
Claims Strategy Director
Jon Dittmer serves as Claims Strategy Director for Carrier Claims Alliance, where he helps trucking companies build more proactive, efficient, and collaborative approaches to claims management.
Working closely with carriers and claims teams, Jon supports the implementation of CCA’s direct mediation model, with an emphasis on early intervention, clear communication, and practical resolution strategies. He also plays a key role in developing repeatable processes and scalable systems that help carriers respond more effectively, support potential claimants, and reduce unnecessary litigation.
Jon brings a diverse background in entrepreneurship, technology development, recruiting, and operational systems. His practical, solutions-focused perspective helps CCA turn complex claims challenges into structured strategies that improve communication, strengthen internal processes, and create a clearer path toward resolution.
Through his work at CCA, Jon is committed to helping transportation companies modernize their claims practices and take a more thoughtful, transparent, and proactive approach to risk management.
Michelle Wade
Claims Operations Coordinator
Michelle Wade serves as Claims Operations Coordinator for Carrier Claims Alliance, where she oversees the operational coordination that supports CCA’s direct resolution process. With more than 15 years of experience in the trucking industry, Michelle brings a well-rounded background in safety, compliance, recruiting, driver qualification, accident administration, and operational support.
Throughout her career, Michelle has held leadership and administrative roles across multiple areas of carrier operations, including safety management, driver file auditing, owner-operator administration, DOT compliance, accident review, recruiting support, and regulatory documentation. Her diverse experience provides a strong understanding of the operational processes that drive successful claims management.
At CCA, Michelle plays a critical role in coordinating claims operations, maintaining claim documentation and reporting, supporting settlement administration, developing standardized processes and templates, tracking performance metrics, and helping ensure every claim moves efficiently through the direct resolution lifecycle. She also works closely with the development of CCA’s technology platform, helping translate real-world operational experience into practical solutions that improve consistency, efficiency, and execution.
Michelle is passionate about organization, continuous improvement, and building processes that allow carriers to respond to accidents more effectively while supporting better outcomes for carriers, claimants, and the trucking industry.
